Advantages and disadvantages of electromagnetic locks and electric bolt locks
Access control electromagnetic lock
Access control electromagnetic lock, also known as magnetic lock, is an electric lock that relies on the suction force generated between the electromagnet and the iron block to close the door. It is an electric lock that opens the door when the power is off. The fixing accessories and screws of the magnetic lock (originally equipped in the lock), the wiring terminals in the magnetic lock. Some magnetic locks have door status (door magnetic status) output. If you look closely at the wiring terminals, in addition to the power wiring terminals, there are three wiring terminals, COM NO NC. The function of these wiring terminals can output different switch signals to the access control controller according to whether the current door is open or closed. For example, the illegal intrusion alarm of the access control and the door has not been closed for a long time are differentiated by these signals. If these functions are not needed, the door status signal terminal can be left unconnected.
Access control electromagnetic lock application
Magnetic locks are generally used for wooden doors and fire doors in the access control system. Advantages: The function is relatively stable, and the repair rate will be lower than other electric locks. It is convenient to install, no need to dig a lock hole, only use a wiring groove, and fix the lock body with screws. Disadvantages: It is usually installed on the top of the threshold outside the door, and because it is exposed, the beauty and security are not as good as the electric bolt lock with hidden equipment. The quotation is similar to the electric bolt lock, and some are slightly higher. Due to the limited suction force, the general type is DX-280 kg force, which may be opened by multiple people at the same time, or by a person with great strength. Therefore, magnetic locks are generally used in some non-high-security places such as the interior of the unit to prevent the good people but not the villains. In some safe places, such as "prisons", if magnetic locks are used, magnetic locks with a tensile strength of more than DX-280S kg will be customized.
Access control electric bolt lock
Some people also call the access control electric bolt lock "anode lock". In fact, it is just a kind of "anode lock", that is, an electric lock that opens the door when the power is cut off. Because according to the fire protection requirements, in the event of a fire, the building will automatically cut off the power supply, and the electric lock should be opened to facilitate the escape of personnel, so most electric locks open the door when the power is cut off.
Electric bolt locks are divided into two-wire electric bolt locks, four-wire electric bolt locks, five-wire electric bolt locks, and eight-wire electric bolt locks.
Two-wire electric bolt lock: There are two wires, red and black, red is connected to the power supply +12VDC and black is connected to GND. Disconnect any one of the wires, the lock head retracts, and the door opens. The two-wire electric lock has a relatively simple design, no single-chip control circuit, the lock body is easy to heat up and pierce, the impact current is relatively large, and it belongs to the low-end electric bolt lock with a relatively low price.
Four-wire electric bolt lock: There are two wires, red and black, red is connected to the power supply +12VDC and black is connected to GND. There are also two white wires, which are door magnetic signal lines, reflecting the opening and closing of the door. It uses the door magnetic to output different switch signals to the access control controller according to the current opening or closing status of the door. For example, the illegal intrusion alarm of the access control and the door has not been closed for a long time are differentiated based on these signals. If these functions are not needed, the door magnetic signal line can be disconnected. The four-wire electric bolt lock uses a single-chip microcomputer controller, has good heat generation, delay control, and door magnetic signal output, and is a common electric lock with good cost performance.
Access control electric bolt locks are generally used for glass doors, wooden doors, etc. Advantages: hidden security, beautiful appearance, good security, not easy to be pried open and swing open. Disadvantages: It is difficult to dig a keyhole when installing. Some glass doors have no threshold (that is, the door frame is glass), or the top of the glass door is not hemmed, so you need to buy frameless glass door accessories to assist in installation. The cost of accessories is not low because the output value is not high.
