The role of door magnets and lock detection in electric locks of access control systems

What is the difference between an electric lock with signal detection and an ordinary electric lock?
1. The alarm function for illegal door opening. In some access control systems, there is an alarm function for illegal door opening (illegal forced opening). During the illegal door opening process, the door magnetic detection point is separated from the lock body, and the access control system will intelligently determine that the door is illegally forced to open, triggering the alarm function, thereby playing a safety precaution function. (Note: To achieve this function, the access control equipment needs to support door magnetic signal input and have an alarm function)
2. Occasions where two doors or double door interlocking functions are required. The so-called double door interlocking function means that in some occasions, there are multiple doors, and the next door cannot be opened if the first door is not closed. This function is mostly used in units with higher security requirements such as banks and prisons. To achieve this function, when choosing an electric lock, it is necessary to choose an electric lock with a door magnetic signal. The access control system detects whether the door and the door frame are closed, and intelligently determines that the first door is locked before automatically opening the next door. (Note: To achieve this function, the access control device must support the double-door interlocking function)
3. In some access control systems, customers need to see the switch status of the door on the computer in the central control room. The access control system can detect whether the door and the door frame are closed through the door magnetic detection function of the electric lock. If it is closed, the door will be displayed in the closed state on the access control system software interface. (Note: The access control device needs to have a door magnetic signal input port)
So what functions do electric locks with door magnetic signals have or what functions do electric locks with door magnetic signal detection functions need to achieve? Here is a brief introduction to help customers choose the right electric lock;
Electric mortise locks with door magnetic signal detection usually have 4 or 5 wires, 2 of which are power wires (red wire is +, black wire is -), and 2 door magnetic detection signal wires (gray and orange); and magnetic locks with door magnetic signal detection usually have 4 wires, two power wires and 2 door magnetic signal wires;
Often when customers are purchasing electric mortise locks and magnetic locks, sales staff will ask customers whether they need electric locks with door magnetic (or signal detection) or electric locks without door magnetic signals. Customers who are not familiar with this often have difficulty choosing at this time.
