What is an electric lock plate?

Electric lock plate, referred to as electric lock, commonly known as cathode lock. Electric lock is only a lock plate component installed on the door frame. It cannot independently complete the function. It can also be said that it is not a complete electric lock. It must cooperate with the mechanical lock body installed on the door leaf to complete the function.

Its working principle is that the electromagnetic force generated by the solenoid in the electric lock drives its movable rod to move, driving the mechanical limit device, preventing or releasing the opening of the electric lock movable plate, forming a locked and unlocked state. Therefore, the electric lock also has both power-off opening type and power-off locking type.

The tensile force of the electric lock movable plate of the electric control lock is considered as the confirmation force of the electric lock. The electric lock is generally only used for one-way opening doors. To cooperate with mechanical locks in different installation positions, the electric lock has two types: open and concealed.

To cooperate with mechanical lock tongues of different specifications, the opening specifications and depth specifications of the electric lock also have different models. The electric strike can be installed on wooden door frames, hollow metal door frames or PVC door frames. When installed on the driven leaf of a double-leaf door, the problem of wire crossing must be considered. The input voltage of the electric strike is 12~24vDC, and the operating current is less than 1A. It can provide the required feedback signal to the access control system through the built-in lock tongue status monitoring switch.
